Bethlehem is an ELCA Congregation in Wahoo, Nebraska, a city of 4,500 in eastern Nebraska between Omaha and Lincoln. It is an agricultural community and county seat with growing numbers of commuters to the state’s two largest cities. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States with about 4 million members in nearly 10,000 congregations across the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Nebraska Synod is a branch of the ELCA. The goal of this organization is to “heed that call for those in our backyard who need to experience God’s love by participating in and supporting our Mission Field Nebraska ministries.”
